About Angela

Angela Render has been designing and maintaining web sites for over a decade. She is a self-taught programmer who started out creating websites for herself, then moved on to programming for others. She was the Web Editorial Assistant for Smithsonian Magazine for two years before she was promoted to Web Developer. During that time, she received many commendations for her performance under pressure.

When her daughter was born in 2003, she gave up her position to become a full-time mom. Since then, Angela has taken on selected clients as her daughter's schedule permitted. After four years, Angela decided it was time to expand her client list and is currently seeking new projects.

Angela's organization skills and attention to detail have made her an invaluable part of any organization she has worked with. Her speedy response time, enthusiasm, ability to focus and unshakable confidence make her a key player on any team. Her adaptability has served both her clients and former employers time and again.

Prior to her career in web development, Angela worked as an airline electrical parts account manager and a costume designer. She graduated with honors from George Mason University in 1993 with a bachelor of arts degree in history and a minor in music. Her internship was spent at Chancellorsville Battlefield Museum. Even then, her computer skills were brought to the fore when she assisted the curator with database management and instructed curator on how to update the museum's database.

In her spare time, she likes to write and published her first novel in the spring of 2006. She and her husband researched, renovated and decorated a circa 1894 Victorian house, then wrote and published the history of the house. She has raced sports cars and has been a student of the martial arts for fifteen years.
