February 21, 2009 held the 12th annual Bay to Ocean Writers’ Conference, put on by the Eastern Shore Writers’ Association. Having now gone, it’s easy to see why it’s sold out three years in a row. A more friendly and comfortable atmosphere you couldn’t hope to find anywhere. The food was light and delicious, the classrooms and auditorium had great acoustics and the technological infrastructure to make speaking there a fantastic experience.

Do NOT Use Chrome
On September 5, 2008, Google announced the launch of its own web browser. Chrome was billed as an open source browser with a “faster more reliable experience.” Seeing as how I might have to eventually program to this browser, I downloaded it for a test-drive to see how it rendered pages compared to Firefox and Internet Explorer.

It’s so rare when a technical difficulty yields a positive result. This was the case with a recent class I conducted for writers on building a blog. My search for a way to complete the class led me to a product that was no only capable of facilitating the completion of the class, but has the capacity to create an audio/visual package that I will be able to sell later.
