Angela Render To Hold Classes at The Writers' Center

Bethesda, MD - The Writers' Center announces a lecture series and workshop dedicated to helping writers develop a web presence. Led by Maryland author and web developer, Angela Render, this lecture series is based off of her upcoming articles in Writers' Journal.

The five week lecture series, entitled, "Writers and the Web," will guide writers through the necessary steps in building a professional web presence. Topics will include:
 | 1) | What the web can do for writers |
 | 2) | What the different technologies out there are |
 | 3) | What it takes to build a website |
 | 4) | When to hire help |
 | 5) | What a writer should put up on the web |
 | 6) | How a website should look and function |
 | 7) | How to make sure your information is found |
Writers and the Web - October 11 through November 8, 2007. Five Thursdays from 7PM to 9PM.

In addition, there will be a separate lecture and workshop on Blogging. "Web logs, or Blogs, are very popular and can be very useful to writers as a promotional tool," says Angela. The lecture will cover the basics the basics of Blogging and its uses, while the four hour workshop will walk participants step by step through the process of setting up a blog of their own.

Intro to Blogging - September 29, 2007 from 1PM to 3:30PM. Build a Blog Workshop - October 6, 2007 from 1PM to 5PM.
