I had the privilege of speaking at the 21st Annual Maryland Writers’ Association Conference on May 9, 2009, held at the Maritime Institute of Technology in Linthicum Heights, MD. The Maritime Institute was a great facility for the event. I say this from the perspective of a speaker who has had her unfair share of “oops” stories when it comes to presenting. February 21, 2009 held the 12th annual Bay to Ocean Writers’ Conference, put on by the Eastern Shore Writers’ Association. Having now gone, it’s easy to see why it’s sold out three years in a row. A more friendly and comfortable atmosphere you couldn’t hope to find anywhere. The food was light and delicious, the classrooms and auditorium had great acoustics and the technological infrastructure to make speaking there a fantastic experience.

Join Angela Render January 25, 2009 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Watermark Gallery, in the Bank of America building across from the Baltimore harbor. The event will feature readings from MWA authors, refreshments, an intermission, live music, and an open mic.
